Trio of HSR Sebring Classic 12 Hour Winners Look for Repeat HSR Classic Endurance Championship Presented by Mission Foods Race Wins at The Glen

Daytona Beach, Florida (June 4, 2025) – A trio of Run Group winners
from March’s season-opening Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) Sebring
Classic 12 Hour Presented by Mission Foods heads to Watkins Glen
International next weekend, June 11 – 14, looking for repeat victories
in the inaugural season of the HSR Classic Endurance Championship
presented by Mission Foods.

The first major endurance race championship in the U.S. for vintage and
historic sports cars, the HSR Classic Endurance Championship presented
by Mission Foods features a year-long schedule of four “tribute events”
celebrating the biggest and longest-running sports car endurance races
in the United States.

The Sebring Classic 12 opener ran the weekend before the 73rd running of
the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring IMSA event while next weekend’s HSR
Watkins Glen Classic 6 Hour presented by Mission Foods sets the stage
for the annual Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen IMSA race on the upstate
New York circuit one weekend later.

Porsche pilots and 901 Shop teammates Todd Treffert and David Agretelis
each broke through for overdue HSR Classic Endurance Championship
victories at the Classic 12 where they were joined in the win column by
multiple HSR Classic Endurance race winners Pierce Marshall and Eric
Foss.

Marshall and Foss were victorious in Run Group C at Sebring in the 2017
No. 02 Matador Motorsports Cadillac DPi for their third win in the last
four HSR Classic Endurance events. The run of race wins dates back to
the Classic 6 last year, and nothing short of a repeat victory when the
Matador team returns to The Glen next weekend is the goal.

Successful and longtime HSR competitors, Treffert and Agretelis hope to
join Marshall and Foss in staying a perfect “two-for-two” to start the
inaugural HSR Classic Endurance Championship presented by Mission Foods
season. Treffert has been victorious in just about every class and
series he has contested in HSR’s season-long sprint and endurance
championships, but an HSR Classic win eluded him for over a decade
before the Sebring breakthrough in Run Group B. He competes in his 1975
No. 41 Porsche 911 Carrera Cup RSR “Baby” Turbo prepared by the 901
Shop.

Agretelis had been trying to win an HSR Classic race for eight years. He
won the second Run Group A round at Sebring to take a lead he would hold
to the finish in his 901 Shop 1972 No. 66 Porsche 911 S/T.

A four-day event Wednesday, June 11 through Saturday, June 14, the HSR
Classic 6 Hour weekend also features a full slate of HSR WeatherTech
Sprint, B.R.M Endurance Challenge and the Sasco Sports International
American Challenge presented by Hoosier and HSR Global GT races that are
all part of the season-long 2025 HSR championships.

Another can’t miss event is Thursday evening’s HSR Prototype Challenge
Presented by Michelin 90-minute race into twilight.

Debuting last year, the second season of the HSR Prototype Challenge
presented by Michelin features an expanded class structure in 2025. Open
only to LMP3 cars in 2024’s inaugural HSR Prototype Challenge season,
the series has fully expanded to four different classes this year.

From the top-tier P1 class for retired LMP1 and DPi cars down to the P4
division for first generation Daytona Prototypes and in between, the
Challenge series has a class for every type of contemporary prototype
just past its competitive prime.

The weekend’s main event, however, is the actual HSR Watkins Glen
Classic 6 Hour presented by Mission Foods that begins with a symbolic
six-straight hours of racing late Friday afternoon into the night as
each Run Group contests its first two segments. One final round for each
Run Group Saturday afternoon will determine this year’s HSR Classic 6
Hour winners.
